Looking for a Martial Arts Centre
Looking for a martial arts centre, consider Griffith Aikido. Aikido is amodern art based on the ancient samurai arts of Japan. The samurai had to handle many different situations and thus their arts had to encompass many different skills. Modern day aikido embodies many of these arts and thus we have open hand practice as the core of our system. This open hand system lays the foundation for weapons (from which it was derived).
Weapons practice encompasses solo form practice, defence against weapons. Working with multiple attackers and maintaining mobility whilst wearing armour ensured survival. Thus todays practice emphasises balance and posture standing or kneeling or tumbling to escape. Of course training the body is enhanced by training the mind to be free from fear where you can perform at your best. Our practice teaches body mind integration, calmness under preassure and ways to revover calmness.
Learn all of this in a co-operative environment where the intensity of practice grows with your skills and experience
